Finalists of the International Biennale of Fashion Illustration IMAGO17.09.2014
The Organizing Committee of Ukrainian Fashion Week is happy to announce the finalists of the International Biennale of fashion illustration IMAGO.
The International Biennale of Fashion Illustration IMAGO will be traditionally held within Ukrainian Fashion Week. As usual, the works will be presented in two nominations: “TRADITIO” and “INNOVATIO”. One of the tasks of the contest is a step-by-step creation of the space for effective collaboration of graphic professionals, mass media and fashion designers. That is why the organizers of the event try to stimulate diverse collaborations of the contestants and other person interested in the subject.
This year the jury board of the Contest consists of professionals with a rich experience – renowned artists, lecturers, authors of art projects and acknowledged illustrators from five different countries worldwide: Caroline Andrieu (France), Iryna Gardabkhadze (Ukraine), Richard Kilroy (Great Britain), Galyna Kokorina (Ukraine), Vyacheslav Okunev (Russia), Spiros Halaris (Great Britain), Sofia Chkonia (Georgia).
This year the biennale is closely connected with such an extraordinary event as the global premier of an international ballet project – THE GREAT GATSBY ballet.
The winners of the Final of the International Biennale of fashion illustration IMAGO will be awarded on October 10 within Vogue Fashion Night Out. Starting from October 15 the works of the finalists will be exhibited at a special exposition within Ukrainian Fashion Week in Mystetskyi Arsenal. This year the Organizing Committee of the Biennale has received more than 400 works from 96 contestants.
The Final of the Contest will present the works of contestants from Ukraine, Estonia, Germany, Russia and Kazakhstan:
