Famous fashion – illustrator Richard Kilroy will estimate works of his colleagues within IMAGO competition 17.06.2014
This autumn, within the 35th Ukrainian Fashion Week there will be final announcement of winners of the International Biennale of fashion-illustration, which will take place for the second time in Ukraine. IMAGO Biennale, being held under supervision of Ukrainian Fashion Council, is aimed at supporting and developing the fashion illustration. Theme, which is offered to artists and designers this year is large international ballet project THE GREAT GATSBY with Denis Matvienko performing the leading role. Both projects are supported by Vogue Ukraine.
Ukrainian Fashion Council invited as jury of Biennale a number of famous illustrators from different countries. One of them is Richard Kilroy, tutor in prestigious Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art.
As an illustrator, Kilroy worked with such famous brands as Christian Dior, Topshop and Canali, issues Decoy magazine, which publishes works of the best authentic modern fashion-illustrators, and is going to publish his own book about menswear illustration.
Together with other juries Kilroy will decide, who will create the best illustration on the ballet theme about Jay Gatsby.
The deadline for works submission is July,15. Moreover, the exhibition of works of the finalists will be held in October, 2014 in Kiev during the Ukrainian Fashion Week.
